We recently had the pleasure of working with Semper Fi Custom Remodeling on a significant home renovation project, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. While there may be companies offering remodeling services at a lower cost, our experience confirmed that “you get what you pay for,” and we are so glad we chose Semper Fi. Our project included major renovations to our kitchen and master bathroom, replacing three toilets, refinishing hardwood floors on the main floor, replacing all shower heads in four bathrooms, repainting the entire interior of our home, and repairing and painting the railings on our front porch. Throughout the process, clear and consistent communication was a hallmark of the Semper Fi team. RJ, our estimator, was thorough and transparent, ensuring we fully understood the scope and cost of the project from the start. From beginning to end our experience with Semper Fi Custom Remodeling has been outstanding! The planning stage, the prep work, the finishing touches and everything in between were all handled with professionalism, expertise and personal attention. Our project manager, Aaron, served as our guide in decision-making all along the way. We had never tackled remodeling before so his attention to detail, his extensive knowledge and his exceptional problem-solving ability gave us the confidence we needed to carry on! Aaron came up with ideas and solutions at every turn, but if he couldn't address the issue, he knew someone who could. His sub contractors were always top notch! In these difficult times for the construction business, how often do we hear about a kitchen/bath/crawlspace remodel project being completed (all but a few finishing touches) nearly six weeks AHEAD of schedule? We engaged Semper Fi for a near whole home renovation, including new siding, deck, kitchen, bedroom, changing the old bathroom into a laundry/closet, changing a bedroom into a luxury bathroom, dining, and living room. Throughout the whole process the team at Semper Fi has been super responsive and professional and we are beyond happy with how our project came out. Everyone who was involved in our project has been very professional and knowledgeable and they were very responsive to our questions and concerns. The project included gutting the entire master bathroom (walls included) and the kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by containment of the construction debris. The workers were removing everything out of the house and sweeping at the end of each day. All items that could be reused they took to Habitat for Humanity. Brandon, our project manager, had everyone and every project under control. Should we decide to do another project you can bet we will be asking for Semper Fi help again.

We are new to Black Mountain and bought a mid-century "fixer-upper"...we interviewed and got estimates from 4 contractors and even though their estimate was in the middle pricewise, we knew that SF was the right company. Their professionalism, communication and quality standards were obvious! Chris, Jay, the entire Semper Fi team, and all of their subcontractors were easy to work with and did beautiful work! COVID arrived mid-remodel and with a few modifications, we were able to continue the work and finish nearly on time and within budget. We added a few "small projects" and they rearranged the project to accommodate us. We had a complete new kitchen and master bath built, as well as remodel to a few closets, a guest bedroom, new ceilings and hardwoods floors, almost every room in the house painted, a built-in "mud-room" style bench and shelves in entrance. They were always available to answer our questions and when a few minor things didn't go as planned, they were quick to remedy them. I would highly recommend Semper Fi--they are honest, hard-working and so easy to work with. Their quality of work and communication were far and above what I have experienced with previous contractors...and we are so grateful for them!

Semper Fi took care of finishing our lower level space, including framing, drywall, leveling floors and installing new flooring, installing mini kitchen/bar, new bathroom with all plumbing, new A/C. Their craftsmen were excellent - particularly carpenters Brent and JP. Our Project Manager Mike Owens was patient and helpful, dealing with sub-contractors, taking care of minor issues and working with unusual timelines during very unusual circumstances due to the work environment caused by the 2020 pandemic. We couldn't have completed this project without them.

Appliances were inadequate, spaces were chopped up with walls and no one wanted to be in the kitchen. As we spoke with Jay, Ashley and Patrick our vision began to take shape for a radical remodel of that entire end of the house. The final result was beyond our wildest dreams. But such a fantastic result could only have taken place because of Semper Fi's remarkable people and process. Every phone call was returned within that day. Every email was answered quickly. Verified When the first attempt at finding a contractor for our remodeling project fell through, we weren't sure where to turn. Our designer directed us to Semper Fi Custom Remodeling and we could not be happier with the choice. They helped us achieve OUR goals, stay within budget and in the end we had the kitchen and bathroom of our dreams! Their relationships with their vendors were very amiable. There were many challenges in completing a remodel in a 90 year old house, but each was met with skill. They consulted with us regularly to make sure what they were doing was going to work within our framework and when we weren't sure what to do, their suggestions were based on past experience or research into the situation. The staff at Semper Fi Custom Remodeling walked us through every phase of our project, from demolition, through planning, materials choices, vendors, time frames to completion. No detain was unimportant to them. We began in April, 2018 and the first part of the project was completed by September of that same year with delays mostly because of weather. Everyone pulled together in a complimentary fashion, finding excellent solutions to the on-going stream of situations that arise when renovating a 90 year old house. Budget was managed with skill and any cost-overruns were due mostly to choices we made in upgrading materials or expanding the scope of some part of the project. We were thrilled with the way the crews worked together and especially with the end result! Could not believe how smoothly the project went or how happy we were with the kitchen and bath renovation! We encourage anyone to not make a choice until they have at least talked to Chris and Jay.
